How Does The Board Decide Your Parole?
Because the Board has limited time for each parole hearing the Commissioners will review a few pages of an inmate's history, before the parole board hearing, to make their release decision. The inmate and his/her family deserve much more than a short, sometimes only 5 minute review. When we prepare your parole package we can and will get you a longer review.
At the hearing, if you are not prepared and/or do not give strong yet informative answers to the commissioners' questions and do not show sufficient, sincere remorse for your criminal conduct, you will not succeed.
At this time, the Board does not have to give equal weight to your accomplishments while in prison, your release plans, educational accomplishments or even your COMPAS score. That is why a Professionally Prepared, well written Parole Package and your preparation before the hearing are extremely important!
Conditions for Parole
Conditions of parole often include things such as obeying the law, reporting all encounters with police officers, refraining from drug and alcohol use, avoiding contact with the parolee’s victims, obtaining employment, and maintaining required contacts with a parole office.
